Retired - Satin Snowflake Earrings

1. If you are new to brick stitch, please watch the video: How to do Brick Stitch Bead Weaving. Please see our Printer Friendly PDF for Full Color Beading Pattern.
2. Based on the technique shown in the video, cut 4 feet of Fireline and begin your snowflake by weaving a ladder stitch base row. We recommend starting at the widest point in the snowflake and working toward one end of the pattern. Be sure to leave yourself a thread tail of at least 2 feet to continue and complete the bead weaving on the second half of your snowflake.
3. As you stitch your snowflake, you will need to make brick stitch increases and decreases according to the pattern. You may also find it useful to make increases using ladder stitch.
4. Once your bead weaving is complete, send your needle up through the white bead on the end of your final row of brick stitch. String on one white bead, then thread your needle down through the other end bead on that same row, so that the bead sits sideways off the top of your snowflake. Weave in your thread, and clip the tail.
5. To attach your earring hook: Use pliers to open a 4mm jump ring and gently slide on the sideways seed bead you sewed on in the previous step. Also slide on the loop of your earring hook. Close the jump ring. Enjoy!
