With a striking black and gold color scheme, these tassel earrings are sure to make a statement.

Instructions

By following the instructions below, you will make one earring. Repeat all instructions to make the second earring.

Begin by watching the video: How to Make Tassels for Jewelry.
Following what you learned in the video, measure, cut and create a 3 inch tassel using your black waxed cotton cord. (You can make your tassel even longer if you'd like, since you will be adding on seed beads and snipping off some length. Also keep in mind that I have added an additional inch for knotting)
Once your tassel is done, add on 10 gold seed beads onto each length of cord. Tie a simple overhand knot and snip off any excess cord using your scissors.
Next, add a dab of E-6000 glue into your gold plated barrel cord end. Take the top portion of your tassel and gently place it in the glue. See photo for placement assistance. Set aside to dry.
Next, using your chain nose pliers, open a gold plated jump ring and slide it through the top loop on your cord end and also the bottom loop of your lever back earrings and close.
