- Take out your Autumn Forest collage sheet and look over the images, pick an image that you like and is big enough to be cut down to fit into your oval. One of the actual images is an oval shape but it's a little small for your pendant. Cut out this oval anyways and once you have decided on the actual image you want to use, cut out that image as well. Flip the image you are going to use in your pendant over (blank side facing up now) and then taking the smaller oval you cut out, trace it onto the larger image. Cut approximately 1/16" around the exterior of your traced oval. Test to see if it fits into your pendant and keep slowly cutting it down until it fits into your pendant.
- Using a small paint brush, apply a layer of Nunn Design permanent glue to the back side (blank side) of your cut out collage image and place it into the oval bezel setting. Press into place with your fingers and smooth out so no air is trapped underneath. Let dry completely. Wash out your paintbrush with water and let dry.
- Using a small paint brush, apply a layer of Nunn Design sealant on top of your collage image. Make sure that you go all the way to the edges. Let dry completely and wash out your paint brush again using water.
- Take one of your flying sparrow connector links and carefully cut off the connector holes on both sides of the bird using your flush cutters. For the one near the beak, make sure to cut at an angle from both sides around the beak so as to not actually cut off the beak. Taking a toothpick or a small length of wire, spread Nunn glue along the underside of the sparrow. Place into your bezel at a location that is pleasing. Let dry.
- Using Ice Resin, fill your bezel with resin and wait 3 days for it to completely cure before handling to complete your necklace.
- While you are waiting on your resin to dry, start making the rest of your necklace.
- Cut 4 lengths of cable circle chain, 3" long each and 2 more lengths 1.5" long. Cut 8 lengths of 26 gauge silver wire, 3" long each.
- Create a wrapped wire loop using one of your 3" lengths of wire and thread onto it:
- an Austrian crystal crystal 2mm round bead in crystal golden shadow
- an Austrian crystal crystal 4mm rondelle bead in crystal copper
- an Austrian crystal crystal 4mm round bead in crystal
- an Austrian crystal crystal 4mm rondelle bead in crystal copper
- an Austrian crystal crystal 2mm round bead in crystal golden shadow
Start making a wrapped wire loop and insert one link of your 1.5" cut chain before completing the wrapping. Cut off excess wire using flush cutters. - Start making another wrapped wire loop and insert the other link end of the 1.5" chain you were just working with, then complete your wrapped wire loop. Thread onto it the same combo of Austrian crystal beads as above. Start making a wrapped wire loop at the end and insert into it the link at the end of one of your 3" lengths of chain.
- Repeat the above step creating another beaded segment attached to the end of the chain above, same pattern, attaching it to another 3" of chain. Start making another wrapped wire loop, attach the end of the chain, complete the wrapped wire loop. Thread onto this wire an Austrian crystal crystal 2mm round bead in crystal golden shadow, an Austrian crystal crystal 4mm round bead in crystal, and another Austrian crystal crystal 2mm round bead in crystal golden shadow. Complete a wrapped wire loop at the end.
- Using a 4mm antique silver plated jump ring, join the wrapped wire loop you just made above and your toggle clasp ring.
- You have just made one side of your necklace. Repeat the above beading and chain linking instructions to make the other side of your necklace and attach the toggle clasp bar.
- Once your resin has cured, open a jump ring and attach the two non-clasp ends of your necklace to your pendant using the jump ring. Make sure to line it up so that there is a bead segment on either side of the pendant.
