- Begin this project by metal stamping the necklace. To do this, please find the smallest size round guide sticker in your stamping guides booklet. Align this on your stamping blank so that you have enough room to metal stamp a name above the top arc of the sticker. Please watch the video: How to Make a Metal Stamped Cuff Bracelet with ImpressArt Tools Although this video does not show stamping around a circle, it does discuss how you need to drag your stamp down so it rests on a sticker stamp guide. The same principle as illustrated with the bracelet and bracelet guide stamp applies when working with the stamping blank and round sticker guide.
- Metal stamp your name and then fill in the impression with the stamp enamel marker. The video you just watched for making the cuff bracelet also shows how to fill in the impressions with the marker.
- To construct your necklace, begin by cutting your 1 foot of chain in half so you have two identical lengths that are 6 inches long each. Next, look at your gemstone chain and check for two things: make sure you have an even number of gemstones so that you will be able to find a center point later on and also that each end has an intact loop. You can watch the video: How to Cut Gemstone Chain to see how to cut your chain if needed to ensure that it has an even number of gemstones and that you have intact end loops.
- Open an oval jump ring and connect it to your lobster clasp as well as one 6 inch length of chain. Close the jump ring. Open another oval jump ring and attach it to the other side of the 6 inch chain length as well as a twisted rope jump ring. Close the oval jump ring. Open a third oval jump ring and connect it to the same twisted rope jump ring as before as well as the end chain link on your gemstone chain. Close the jump ring.
- You have now constructed 50% of your necklace. Continue with the same steps as you have been doing to make the second half of the necklace a mirror image of the first. The only exception is that when you get to the part where you attached the lobster clasp in the first step, this time connect that last oval jump ring to a twisted rope jump ring. This will act as the other half of your clasp.
- Open another twisted rope jump ring and connect it to your stamped pendant as well as the center portion of your necklace. Close the jump ring.
