This finished necklace measures just over 17". Please refer to the photo for clarification on instructions.
- Begin by cutting the chain into two 8" pieces. Set aside.
- For the next series of steps you will be wire wrapping thin wire around eye pins. When doing this, create nice tight, neat coils. If you need to use your finger nail to scoot the coils close together, do so. Refer to the photo for what the end result should look like.
- Clip off about 8" of wire with your flush cutters.
- Take one eye pin and begin your wire wrapping at the looped end. Wrap tightly for about 8mm, clip the wire. Then thread on a square mini bead.
- Take a 6" piece of wire and wrap for about 5mm, clip the wire. Then thread on a square mini bead.
- Take another 8" of wire and wrap tightly for about 8mm, clip the wire.
- At the end of that eye pin make a simple wire loop, and set this piece aside.
- Take another eye pin and clip off about 8" more of wire. Tightly wrap the wire around the eye pin for about 10mm. Make a simple wire loop at the end of the wrapping. Set aside. Repeat this process for one more head pin.
- Take one more eye pin and clip off about 6" of wire. Begin wrapping as before, near the eye, and wrap for 4mm. Clip the wire. Then thread on a square mini bead.
- Then wrap another 6" of wire on to the eye pin for 4mm. At the end of that eye pin make a simple wire loop, and set this piece aside.
- By looking at the photo, you are going to attach the eye pins together, the same way you would jump rings. The eye pin with 2 square beads will go on top. To each hole attach one of the wrapped eye pins without the beads. To the other ends of the wrapped eye pins you will attach the last eye pin with only 1 square bead on it.
- Take one jump ring at attach it to one side of eye pin with 2 square beads on it. To that jump ring you will attach one of the 8" gold chains. To the other side of the chain, attach another jump ring.
- Repeat that last step on the other side of the eye pin, but add a lobster clasp to that final jump ring.
