Elegant and sophisticated, this kumihimo necklace is actually braided with chain. Although the finished result looks complicated, the design is simple to create.

There is no real difference to the Kumihimo braiding technique whether using chain or cord. The real difference is how you start and finish the braid.

In the course of the video you will learn how to cut your chains to the appropriate lengths, tie their ends together with wire, create a simple 8-warp kumihimo braid, end your braids with wire, create wrapped wire loops, and finally how to finish off your design with lengths of single chains and a clasp.
