You can easily turn this design into a necklece by purchasing an additional foot of chain.
- Start by cutting 55 inches of thread and placing it onto your needle. String on and place a stopper bead onto your thread 15 inches from the end.
- Please watch the video: How to Flat Odd-Count Peyote Stitch. This video will teach you how to do the stitching for this project. Included in the photos is a bead pattern to follow. Follow the pattern and create the main part of your bead woven piece.
- To taper your ends, please watch the video: How to Do Decreases in Flat Peyote Stitch. You will want to taper both ends by doing decreases. When you started this project you left a 15 inch tail so that you could go back and place a needle onto the tail and taper it without having to add a new piece of thread.
- When all your bead weaving is complete, tie off your threads and weave in your tails.
- Cut two lengths of chain, 2 - 2.5" long each, depending on how long you want your bracelet to be. Tip: If you are unsure of the sizing for your wrist, cut a little longer length for each and then you can always cut the chain down later if it's too big and adjust from there.
- Next, open a jump ring and attach it to the middle end bead on one side of your beadwork. Please refer to the pattern sheet which shows the placement. Also link on to this same jump ring the end chain link of one piece of cut chain. Close the jump ring. Repeat this step on the other side of your beadwork.
- On the other side of the attached chain length (on one side of your bracelet) open and attach a jump ring and the loop part of one half of your magnetic clasp. Close the jump ring. Repeat on the other side of your bracelet.
- The final touch is three petite dangles located to the side of your beadwork. To create them, first place a bicone crystal on one head pin and create a simple wire loop after it, trim your excess wire. Place a magenta seed bead, cream seed bead, and magenta seed bead onto another head pin, create simple wire loop and then trim your wire. Place a cream seed bead, magenta seed bead, cream seed bead onto a head pin and create a simple wire loop and then trim your wire.
- Attach the dangles to one of the jump rings attached to your beadwork. To do this, you will open the simple wire loops (the same way you open jump rings) and connect them to the jump ring and then close the loops back up. All done, enjoy!
