Retired - Jade Lotus Earrings

Create a personal design by using the Vintaj BIGkick Machine to alter metal pieces. This lotus piece is given a pop by the Vintaj Patina. Choose your favorite colors and stampings for a totally unique design.
Instructions

Note: Components and tools listed within this INSTRUCTIONS box and the printer-friendly PDF, if available, may have been discontinued since this project was published. Refer to the PURCHASE COMPONENTS and TOOLS AND OTHER SUPPLIES sections for current availability.

By following the instructions below you will make one earring. Repeat all instructions to make the second earring. You will also need a paper towel for this project.
  1. Please watch our video: How to Use the Vintaj BIGkick with Etching and Embossing Dies.
  2. From what you learned in the video, place the stamping into the die so that it is positioned to get the lotus flower (see photo for reference).
  3. Run it through the machine. Remove the stamping from the die.
  4. Next, using a paint brush dab on the Vintaj Patina to the front of the stamping. Quickly wipe off any excess with a paper towel. You may add more or less patina to achieve your desired effect.
  5. Cut three lengths of chain, 1.25 inches each.
  6. Open one jump ring and attach the three lengths of chain. Close the jump ring.
  7. Open the loop of the earring hook and attach the stamping, make sure it is facing forward, and attach the jump ring with the chain on it. Close the loop and you're all done.
