Thanks for joining us here at Beadaholique.com. This is Julie. And today I'm going to show you how to flatten out a bottle cap. You're probably familiar with the traditional bottle cap it looks much like a pie tin and also you've probably been seeing theses flattened bottle caps. You've been wondering how do you get these. Are they a separate item? What are they? And really there so easy to make. They're just a bottle cap which has been flattened using a steel bench block and a rubber mallet. You don't need any other tools. So I'm going to take a bottle cap and I'm going to lay it face down on my steel benchmark. I'm going to take my rubber mallet and I'm just going to start hammering in the middle. You can see my edges are starting to curve. Rotate it a little bit. You don't need to very much. Flip it over and you now have a Flattened Bottle Cap. Go to Beadaholique.com for all of your beading supplies needs!
