hi this is Alexandra at beadaholique to add flower petal embellishments to circular brick stitch so here I have the feliz navidad earring that's comprised of circular brick stitch on a bead with some decorative edging and this project uses some beautiful delica my yuki delica 11 tho seed beads in a color palette that we offer for the holidays as well as an 8 millimeter swarovski crystal pearl and some 3 millimeter pearls earring findings and I'll be using a couple of pliers my thread snips and some crystal colored fireline so what I've done is worked up most of the earring here and I've built on a couple of great videos that we have on adding circular brick stitch to a beam that's one of them and then how to add decorative edging to that project but as we continue to build on that here I'm going to demonstrate some of the edging and then how to complete that with the my yuki seed beads which I thought added just a really surprising striking finish so to begin here in the middle of my project I'm going to pick up a tilaka and pearl and another delicate and the way this spacing is I leave one thread bridge between each stretch of beads so my threads coming out here I'm going to count two beads over and reenter one of my red seed beads on the edge there and that will sew on the decorative edging and then I'm going to re-enter again right up into the next bead expeed over and this is how I began the decorative edging as well was I finished my layer of red and then just came out the bead and began adding those delicas with pearls so I'm continuing that process here I have just a few more to go counting one two and then reentering that's right exiting the next bead over my thread clear there and just one more section counting one two two beads and then the third so what that's done is given me nice even spacing all around the edges and my question became how am I gonna hang my ear wire and so it was a creative solution to go ahead and add more seed beads around the Pearl to facilitate a jump ring and that was the inspiration for this so I'm gonna go ahead and come back through one of my delicates and add five beads that will wrap themselves really nice and clean around that pearl and then reenter the other delica you know the smooth even shape of these seed beads really lends themselves lends itself well to this process here so from here I'm gonna re-enter that red seed bead just below my last delica and come up through the adjacent bead and that will allow me to continue around the perimeter and so on each of those sets of five beads and it hides the thread so once again I'm going to come down through my little red bead it'll let me there we go and up through the adjacent into my my Yuki delica and add five and back down and so on so I would continue that process to achieve this nice finished look what I also wanted to show you is how to attach the ear wire and so for that I have a little four millimeter open jump ring let's use my pliers to open that up and the way that it will attach is right through one of these Center seed beads like so and from there open up my earring hook latch that on and that's a creative and decorative solution to getting my finding attached so I hope you enjoyed this video that was how to create flower petal embellishments to circular brick stitch and this project bundle these tools and supplies are all available at beadaholique.com please also visit our youtube channel for all the latest updates thanks for watching you
