Add a touch of dark glamour to your evening look with this beaded ribbon choker. With it's loom-woven bead work, this piece will work up faster than you expect.

The finished length of this choker is about 12" with an adjustable necklace extender chain to ensure a good fit. Measure your neck where you'd like to wear the choker and adjust the length of your ribbon accordingly if you need to.

Before you begin, watch the video: How to Use a Bead Loom. Using the technique demonstrated in the video, weave a strip 5 beads wide with size 10/0 Miyuki Delica seed beads in opaque black, metallic raspberry mauve, and steel metallic, repeating the pattern shown in the chart.
Weave your piece until it measure about 6" long, then tie off and weave in your weft threads (the ones that were on the needle going across your work).
Cut a length of black grosgrain ribbon 12" long. Finish off your piece of bead weaving and sew it onto the center of the ribbon as shown in this video. Make sure that all of your threads are tied off and woven in when you're done.
Use a pair of chain nose pliers to attach a 3/8" silver plated ribbon crimp to each end of the ribbon.
Use a silver plated 4mm, 21 gauge jump ring to attach a silver plated lobster clasp to of the ribbon crimp loops.
Use a second jump ring to attach a silver plated chain necklace extender to the other ribbon crimp loop.
