Retired - Easter Egg Earrings

1. To begin, prop your earrings up so that they are level for pouring resin. A small box with holes thru it works well. Just be careful to not bend the ear wires.
2. Next, please watch our video: How to Use Nunn Design Resin and How to Add Opaque Pigments to 2-Part Resin. From what you learned in the videos, mix up one cup of resin and add a few drops of opaque white resin dye. Tip: You do not want to add too much otherwise you will throw off the chemical reaction of the resin. Once the resin is mixed pour it into the bezels. Level the resin to the top but do not dome the resin. It should be flush with the edge. Allow the resin to cure for 1-3 days before moving on.
3. To create the design of dots on the "eggs", mix another cup of resin and this time you will pour it into three equal cups. Into each cup add one color of resin dye. Since you have much less resin in each cup you will need just a tiny bit of color. It is best to build the color very carefully. To create the pastel color add a tiny bit of white opaque dye as well. There is no exact formula so add slowly to achieve your desired color.
4. Once you have the colors, dip the end of a clean toothpick into a color and add a tiny dot to the earrings. You can use my photo as a guide but feel free to decorate your eggs to your liking. Make sure the dots are far enough apart so they won't run together.
5. Allow to cure for 1-3 days before wearing.
