Retired - Chocolate Easter Bunny Kumihimo Bracelet

1. Before you begin, please watch the video: How to Make a Simple 8-Warp Kumihimo Braid Bracelet. You will follow the same techniques as you learned in the video, just replacing the satin rattail cord with your silk string.
2. Take out your silk string in Pink, Lavender, Beige, Pale Pink, Light Green, Light Blue, Light Gray and Light Blue. Do not cut these lengths, because you will be using one length for each warp. These will be the 8 colors used in your kumihimo bracelet.
3. Tie your ends into a simple knot, thread it through the middle of the disk, and attach a weight to the end.
4. Line up your silk string on your kumihimo disk so that they are placed in this order: Ivory is to the left and Dark Pink is to the right of the 32, Light Blue is to the left and Lavender is to the right of the 16. Beige is to the left and Light Green is to the right of the 8 and Light Grey is to the left and Light Pink is to the right of the 24.
5. Braid as long of a bracelet that you want (taking into account that the clasp will add an inch). I braided my bracelet for 7 inches.
6. Once you have finished braiding, take your weight off of the tail and clamp it over the strands that you just braided to hold them in place. Remove your braid and strands from the disk.
7. Set aside your braid while you watch the video: How to Tie Off and Finish Kumihimo Braid Ends.
8. Take your braid and measure the length that you want for your bracelet, starting at the knot.
9. Based upon what you learned in the video above, place a piece of tape over the braid near the knot and then also at the interval on the braid that is the length you want for your bracelet. Finish off your ends now as seen in the video and attach your cord end caps with glue. Let dry.
10. Optional: Set aside two inch lengths of the silk string ends you cut off to use as a decorative accent. Refer to the photo.
11. As your bracelet is drying, paint your Vintaj bunny charm using bronze Vintaj patina. Let dry.
12. With your pliers, open up your 4mm jump ring and slide it through the loop on your Vintaj bunny charm. Close the loop.
13. Next, open up an 8mm jump ring and attach it to the loop on one of your cord ends and also slide on the smaller jump ring from your Vintaj bunny charm. Close the jump ring.
14. Open up another 8mm jump ring and slide it through the loop on the cord end on the other side, as well as the loop on your clasp. Close with your pliers.
15. Lastly, take about 2 inches of your extra ribbon lengths (I chose four colors: beige, pink, lavender and light green) and tie a simple knot through the 8mm jump ring that does not have the Vintaj bunny charm attached to it.
16. You're done. Enjoy!
