With this pattern, it is very easy to adjust the length of this bracelet. Just make sure to leave 7/8" for the clasp.
- If you are unfamiliar with even count peyote please watch our video: How to Even-Count Peyote
- Cut off a length of thread about 6 feet, or as long as you are comfortable working with. Make sure to leave a tail of about 1 foot at the beginning as you will use this to attach your clasp when you are done.
- Begin your first two rows as seen in the pattern included and in the video tutorial.
- Continue your peyote following the rows of the pattern until you have reached your desired length.
- As you weave you will need to tie off and add more thread. For instruction on how to do this please watch: How to Tie off and Weave in New Thread in Bead Weaving.
- Once you have completed your desired length, weave your thread back through to attach the clasp. As you look at the bracelet you will see that there are 6 columns of the white stripes. Move your thread so that it comes up in the lower bead of the second white column.
- Pick up one closed jump ring, make a loop around the jump ring and thread your needle down through the high orange bead, right next to it. Repeat one more time for security.
- Weave your thread to the fifth white column and repeat the above process.
- You will complete the entire above process for the other side of the bracelet.
- To the closed jump ring, attach one open jump ring by opening it and before you close this jump ring attach the loop of one end of the magnetic clasp. Close the jump ring. You will repeat this for the other three jump rings to finish your clasp. Please note that it may be easier to complete this last step with the magnetic clasps closed so that you do not mix up the positive and negative sides of the magnet.
