Excellent instructions, but I wonder . . .

Good, clear instructions on how to make these beautiful odd-count peyote bracelets. But I have a question. I just made an off-loom brick stitch bracelet with a geometric pattern, and because I wanted the pattern to be centered exactly, I began in the middle of the bracelet and worked out in both directions until both ends terminated at the same point in the pattern. Is it possible to use this same technique making the geometric bracelets described here? And if so, how would a person start it?
