- These beautiful toggle clasps are manufactured with Borosilicate glass. This "hard glass" has been produced for almost a century by adding Boron to the usual mix of silicate sand, lime and soda. The result is a resilient and sturdy glass, which is more resistant to stress, fracture and heat--hence it has been a staple for casserole lovers in kitchens around the world! Now you can incorporate glass into your bracelets and necklaces without worrying about cracks or sharp edges--even if the glass does fracture, it will break off in clean chunks rather than slivers.
