Retired - Forever Rose Necklace

1. Please watch our video: How to Make a Beaded Wire Flower in a Glass Bottle. Using a similar technique as you learned in the video, cut off about 8 inches of green wire. For this project you will not be adding beads. Fold the wire in half. Make a wire coil loop at the top. This loop will be caught in the top of the rose, holding it in place. String both ends of the wire through the rose. You may want to carefully bend back the inner petals of the rose. Once the loop is in place bend them back into place.
2. Once you have the rose in place. Twist the two pieces of wire together until you have about a 1/2 inch, then take one wire and pull it away from the center with your chain nose pliers to create a petal. Then bring the wires back together to twist one more time. Repeat to create one more petal.
3. Twist until you have reached the bottom. Your rose should stand about one inch tall. When you have come to the bottom take the two tails of wire and coil them into a base. They should look like a yin yang twist. This will be covered by the crystal clay so it doesn't need to be clean.
4. For this next step please watch our video: How to Use Crystal Clay. Mix up equal parts A and B, about the size of a gumball and place it around the base of the flower. Make sure you have it centered as you work around it.
5. Once you have the rose in place in the crystal clay, dust the top of the clay with the sparkle dust to coat evenly. Press the dust into the clay. You may use your finger or a paint brush for this step, however be careful not to leave brush marks in your clay. Brush off any excess carefully.
6. Take the dome and place it over the top of the rose and carefully squish it into the clay.
7. Carefully add a dab of glue to the pendant cap and place on to the top of the dome. Make sure that your loop is facing forward so that when you attach the chain your necklace will hang in the correct direction.
8. Once you have let your piece dry for 24 hours, open one 7mm jump ring and attach it to the dome cap. Close the jump ring.
9. String the chain through the jump ring.
10. Open the jump ring attached to the clasp and attach it to one side of the chain. Close the jump ring. Close the clasp and you're all done!
