After a project I mix together all matching colors and put into tiny mason jars on my shelf, then next project I grab the beads in the correct color way and enhance my projects with the soup!!!

I wish I could say I have them sorted by color in separate containers but the truth is everywhere. In ziplock bags, to empty glass containers, shoe boxes, in every room of house, yes bathroom too, I have some sort of container with beads.

I have a jar of bead soup that is useful when i don’t have the bead i need for my project. Sometimes I’ll make fringe with the beads and add them to a scarf. Always get compliments on them.

My beads are stored in a little bead suitcase with separate compartments. It keeps everything neat & tidy.

    April Spencer - December 12, 2024

I store beads in mason jars, and findings in ziplock bags.

I’ve seen this bead mix on your website, and planned to order it at some point. I make a lot of jewelry, and sometimes it’s fun to just mix things up, so of course a “Mr. Kitty’s Mix” would be perfect!

I have just started working with semi precious gemstones. Fun and beautiful!

    Shelly - December 12, 2024

Oh, things i could make with this glorious bagful of beads!

I keep projects I am working on & their beads in the plastic boxes that lunch meat comes in. If I have just a few beads left I keep them in the storage container that has tic tac type small flip top containers. Medicine bottles work too.

    Donna Shreve - December 12, 2024

I don’t have a lot of money, but plenty of time (I am disabled) so I carefully store my beads and related materials in mini zip lock bags by type and ones that I have a lot of, like pearls, crystal rondelles, etc. I sort by size and color, then pack them in dollar store shoe boxes. For other supplies I use a cart with drawers to store things like wire, connectors, ribbon, jump rings, crimp beads, etc. in their own bags, separated by type, size, color, etc. I bought a large white metal utility shelf to place all my shoe boxes that I mark on the end what the contents are. I store most of the necklaces I have not given away on a long board mounted to my wall with large nails placed about 1-1/2” apart. I have a lovely red velvet box that I store my bracelets in. I store my tools in an Ikea small metal drawer cabinet that fits just beneath my smaller work table. Finally, I have two small wooden drawer chests, also from Ikea, that I fill with earring hardware, clasps, buttons, eyepins and headpins, etc. I am pretty good about not leaving more than two UFO’s at a time, and as soon as I finish a piece, I put everything away properly, otherwise I would wind up spending twice as much time looking for things. I guess that makes me neat, bordering a teeny bit on OCD. Happy holidays to all!
