Welcome to day #1 of Beadaholique's 12 Giveaways of Christmas! For this first giveaway, we wanted to give something that everyone could use, whether you are new to jewelry making or a seasoned pro! We are giving away a beautiful 8-piece tool set with all the tools needed to make bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and more.  This tool set, by The Beadsmith, comes in a color-coordinated case and retails for nearly $60 USD. 

The tools in the set include:

  • 1 Pair of Bent Chain Nose Pliers
  • 1 Pair of Flat Nose Duck Bill Pliers Tip is 4.5mm Wide

I find the bent nose pliers very handy for many uses, particularly when working with jump rings.

Round nose pliers: the tool I never knew I needed. As a beginner in jewelry making who had no intentions of commercializing my skill, I thought wires and pins were for the gurus and I would just stick with stringing beads on threads. Then I came across a Beadaholique video on YouTube where Julie made a loop using a round nose plier (though hers was a bit different but she mentioned round nose pliers). Wow… a discovery. It seemed so easy! So I bought a round nose plier, and several projects later… I can’t have enough of making wire loops, earrings and necklaces with wire and pins😎 . My round nose plier is all rusted now and the handle is weak but it remains my favourite tool. I would really love a new pair. And yes, my goals have changed- I sell beautiful jewelry.
