Retired - Star of David Crochet

1. You will need to preload your beads onto the pearl cotton. To make a bracelet that is 6.5" you will need about 260 beads. Make a mix of all of seed beads. If you are adjusting the size of the bracelet you may want to do a trial run of how many beads you will need per inch of crochet, as explained in the video.
2. Using your big eye needle, thread the beads on to the cotton in a random order.
3. As you come to the end of the beads, thread on a closed jump ring followed by 12 more beads. Remove the needle and you are ready to begin your crochet.
4. As shown in the video, begin your circular bead crochet. When you come to the jump ring, skip over it. It should not act as another bead. It will simply be captured in the crochet. Continue for 6" worth of beading or however long you want the beaded portion of your bracelet to be. Please remember that the clasp will add a half inch.
5. When you get to the end of your crochet, and you end it as shown in the video, leave at least a 10 inch tail and cut the pearl cotton from the bobbin.
6. Onto the tail, thread a big eye needle. With the needle, go through the loop at the base of your toggle bar and then back down through the bead and into your crochet. Tie a discrete knot within your crochet. Now go back up through the bead and loop on the toggle bar again and back down through the bead. Tie another knot. Work your tail into the crochet, tying several knots within your crochet. Keep working the tail into the crochet until you can no longer see it. Snip off any excess thread.
7. Repeat the previous step with the other part of your toggle clasp on the opposite side of the bracelet.
8. Open the jump ring that is attached to the charm. Close it around the closed jump ring that is in your crochet.
9. All done!
