This mixed metals design features bead woven peyote beads combined with elements from TierraCasts Soulful Spirit Collection. Everything has been strung onto a leather cord and attached together with crimp cord ends and a hammered hook and eye clasp.

Instructions

Begin this project by making your peyote bead woven beads. You will want to make 4 of them. If you want to make more, feel free to do so! You will have plenty of beads. To learn how to do even-count peyote, please watch the video: How to Flat Even-Count Peyote Stitch. Follow the pattern for this project and make your piece of peyote. To turn it into a bead, you will want to zip up your piece of beadwork. To do this, please watch the video: How to Zip Up Peyote Stitch with a Seamless Join. Once you have made all four of your beads, progress onto the next step.
Cut your leather cord to your desired length. The project in the photo uses 16 inches of leather cord. Feel free to make it longer if you so choose.
Onto one end, attach a cord end. Simply slip it over the end of your leather and squeeze the middle with a pair of chain nose pliers. It will crimp the end and secure it over the cord.
String on your beads in the following order: 1 hammered tube bead (rhodium), 1 peyote bead, 1 hammered bead (gold), 1 hammered oval spacer bead (rhodium), 1 hammered bead (gold), 1 peyote bead, 1 hammered oval spacer bead (rhodium), hammered guru bead (gold). This is the mid way point of the necklace. For the second half of your necklace, simply mirror the first half.
Attach a cord end to your other end of cord.
Open a jump ring and attach it to the loop at the base of your guru bead as well as your framed pendant with the crystal inside. Close the jump ring.
Open another jump ring and attach it to the end loop of one of your crimp ends as well as one half of your hook and eye clasp. Close the jump ring and then repeat on the other side of your necklace.
