Romantic at Heart Necklace

This romantic necklace features a pretty enamled brass heart pendant by Gardanne Beads, a blossom hand charm by TierraCast, PRESTIGE pearls, Nunn Design findings, and lovely hand-dyed silk ribbon. The combination of all these elements creates a soft and romantic design.
Instructions

When finished, this necklace measures about 25 inches. You can make it longer or shorter in the following steps.
  1. Begin this project by sliding the bail onto your silk ribbon. Slide it to the midway point.
  2. Place one pearl onto a head pin and create a wrapped wire loop. Trim off excess wire.
  3. Open a twisted rope jump ring and place onto it the heart pendant, blossom hand, and pearl dangle that you just made. Before closing the jump ring, connect it to the loop at the base of the bail (that is already on your silk ribbon). Make sure that your charm and pendant are facing forward. Close the jump ring.
  4. Go to one end of your silk ribbon and slide a twisted rope jump ring onto it. Pull it down so that it is about 6 inches from the end. Please watch the video: How to Finish Silk Ribbon Ends with Wire. This video will show this necklace in it and teach how to knot the silk and wrap the ends with wire. It will also show how to trim the silk. This is the stage where you can make the necklace longer or shorter by deciding where on the silk ribbon you want to place the jump ring and wrap the ends.
  5. Place one pearl onto a headpin and create a wrapped wire loop. Trim off excess wire.
  6. Open a 5mm jump ring and connect onto it the dangle you just made as well as your lobster clasp. Also link the jump ring onto one of the twisted rope jump rings on one side of your silk ribbon. Close the jump ring.
  7. On the other side of the necklace, you will just connect the lobster clasp to the twisted rope jump ring that already exists there. This will complete your clasp. All done!
