Purple Opal Dream Necklace

1. Cut 6" of beading wire. Place your bead stopper about 2" from one end. Thread on to it one crimp tube followed by 10 amethyst beads .
2. Remove the bead stopper from the other end. Thread the wire back thru the crimp tube forming a ring. Make sure to pull the two ends of the wire snug. Crimp the crimp tube. Snip off the excess wire. Place a crimp cover onto the crimp tube, and close the crimp cover.
3. You will repeat this four more times. However, before you thread the wire back through the crimp tube, link the ring to the previous ring, forming a chain of five rings.
4. Cut two pieces of the gold chain, so that you have two equal pieces. For this particular gold chain, the links are so large that you will want to count to make sure the number of links match up. In this design, each piece is 11 links, which is just shy of 7".
5. Onto one end of the beaded chain links, open a jump ring and attach it in-between two amethyst beads. Before closing the jump ring, attach one end of one piece of chain. Now close the jump ring.
6. Repeat this last step for the other side of the chain.
7. To finish the necklace, open a jump ring and attach it to one side of the chain. Close the jump ring.
8. To the other side of the chain, open a jump ring and attach it to the chain and to the loop of the lobster clasp. Close the jump ring.
