Retired - Mandala Eye Bracelet

1. Begin by painting a solid swatch of carnelian patina at the front your cuff. Start the swatch approximately 1.5" from the end of the cuff and paint it until you end up 1.5" away from the other end of the cuff. Let dry and repeat with a second coat of paint.
2. While your cuff is drying, paint the mandala eye. To do this, first create a wash which is 1 part carnelian paint to 2 parts glaze. Paint the entire top of the eye. Let dry for 15 minutes and then use your Vintaj relief block to sand the surface of the eye, thus exposing the shiny brass on the high points. The next step is to paint the details. Please refer to the photo for design guidance and then paint your details using the pointed tip of a toothpick as your paint brush. Be patient as you go and then let your piece dry.
3. To create the wire wraps on each side of your cuff you will need to cut 16 inches of wire per side. Refer to the photo for placement of the wraps (it goes over the spot where you started your paint on the cuff) and then make 4 wraps without beads, 4 with beads just on the front of the cuff, and 4 more wraps without beads. Trim your wire and press your tails into the wire wraps at the back of the bracelet. Create this series of wraps on both sides of your cuff. Note: You will need 10 beads per wrap with beads.
4. Now place glue on the center backside of the mandala eye, center it on your cuff, and press into place. Let dry.
