- Begin by cutting a length of chain twenty links (six and three quarters inches) long. Note: The total length of this bracelet is eight and one quarter inches long. If you would like to make yours shorter, omit a link or two.
- Beginning with the second from last link in your chain, attach one of each color of heart to every other link. To do this, gently open the loop at the top of the heart the way that you would open a jump ring, thread it through the chain link, (all of the hearts should be on the same side of the link) and close the loop once more.
- Once your have added all of the hearts, use the oval jump rings to attach the hook half of the clasp, and the heart-shaped padlock to the last link at one end of your bracelet. To the other end of your bracelet, using oval jump rings once again, attach the loop part of the clasp and the key.
