Hi, this is Kat with beadaholique.com what you're doing is your work hardening it so by adding pressure to it you're making this piece that you've created nice and stiff so i'm using the artistic wire in an 18 gauge although this does work for many gauges of wire so it just depends on what you're using and as long as it is a flat piece you can use the wire wacker tool to harden it so there's a couple different methods that you can use depending on how much you need to really apply pressure you can just take one piece here and you'll notice that I'm holding it not on the edges because if you hold it over the edges you're going to end up pinching your fingers and you really don't want that so hold it by the edges all the way around and one thing you can do is you can just hover over it and whack it and you can do that several different times to get your effective look or what you can do is simply place this on top and again watching those fingers you're just going to place your fingers to the side and using a rubber mallet you're just going to hit it a couple of times moving your mallet around and there you go that is it and now you can look and your piece is nice and hard and stiff and this is great to use i know i'm using an 18 gauge wire here that's mostly see you can see it but this is great to use with some little thinner wires that you want to give a little extra strength to it is definitely easy to use and worth having if you do a lot of your own findings and wire wrapping I hope you enjoyed this video you can find all of these supplies and more at beadaholique.com
