- To begin, glue the 14mm cabochon onto the Lacy's Stiff Stuff Foundation using Crafter's Pick. Glue the 20mm cabochon just above the 14mm cabochon.
- Cut a generous area around the glued cabochons to begin your bead embroidery.
- For this next step, please watch our video: How to Backstitch in Bead Embroidery. Using the 11/0 seed beads, backstitch a row around the outer rim of the snowman. Do not stitch in-between the two cabochons. See photo for reference. Do not trim your thread just yet.
- To create the look of the scarf, take your needle and come up in-between the two cabochons about where the neck would be. (See Photo for Reference) Thread on eight 15/0 seed beads, then thread your needle back down through the other side of the neck. Come back up near that same spot and thread on eight 15/0 beads, go back through the first seven and thread back down into that side of the neck. Repeat one more time. Come back up near that same spot and thread on eight 15/0 beads, go back through the first seven and thread back down into that side of the neck. Tie off your thread on the back side of this bead embroidered piece and trim your thread.
- Now you will trim the foundation and attach the backing. Cut around your beaded row and using Crafter's Pick, glue the cut out snowman onto the Ultra Suede Backing and let dry.
- Trim the Ultra Suede Backing.
- Using the 11/0 beads, bead embroider a basic beaded edge. Tie off and trim your thread.
- To attach the pin back, use a dab of E6000 and apply it to the flat part of the pin back and center it on the back of the snowman. Let dry completely before wearing.
