Begin by finding an image to use for your pendant. Be creative. Look at scrapbooking materials or copyright-free images. If you choose to print out your own copyright-free image from the internet, be sure to have it printed on a color laser printer, as opposed to an inkjet printer. Inkjet images are water soluble and have a tendency to run when the glaze is applied.After you find your image, carefully cut it out to the size of your Patera pendant. It is best to err on the side of being too large, as you can always trim the image down. Depending on how thin the paper your image is on, you might want to first glue down a piece of plain white paper so that the image doesn't get too dark when you apply the glaze.Using a soft paintbrush, paint a thin layer of the Nunn Glue on the reverse of your image. Press the image into the pendant and smooth out any bubbles. Allow to dry fully.Once you have your image glued in place, you must now apply the Magic-Glos UV Resin. Do not shake the bottle, but gently squeeze out enough resin to fill the pendant. Move the pendant around so that the resin spreads out to the edges, fully covering the image. At this time, if you notice that any bubbles have formed, pop them with a pin or needle. You don't want bubbles dried into your final design!Place the pendant into the UV light (average drying time is 5-10 minutes), or if you don't have the UV light, place the pendant in a sunny spot and allow to dry (drying time slightly longer without using the UV light).Cut twenty two lengths of chain at seven links long each. Cut twenty two lengths of wire at about two inches long each.Open a round jump ring and thread it through the loop at the top of the pendant, but do not close it yet.Thread the open round jump ring through the loop on the bail and close it once more.Create a wrapped loop on one end of each precut piece of wire.Onto each piece of wire thread a bead, eleven gold and eleven midnight blue goldstone. Create another wrapped wire loop at the opposite end of each wire segment, close to the bead.Join the links, alternating the gold and the midnight blue goldstone beads, with a length of chain between each. To join the beaded wire segments to the chain, open the link at both ends of the chain lengths, the way you would open a jump ring, and thread it through the loops on the bead segments, closing them after you do so. Before you connect the last beaded wire segment to the chain, thread your chain through the large loop of the bail.To create the tassel underneath the pendant, cut two lengths of chain at five links long, two lengths of chain at seven links long, and one length of chain at nine lengths long.Open an oval jump ring and thread it through the loop at the bottom of the pendant. Add a round jump ring to the first, and close the first.To the last jump ring (the round one), add the five lengths of chain, the longest one in the middle.Thread five headpins, two with a midnight blue goldstone bead, and three with a gold fire polish bead.Create a loop at the end of each headpin, and thread each through the last link of each of the three lengths of chain, the gold in the middle, the two blue goldstone beads on either side, and the last two gold beads on either side of those.Finish each wrapped loop and trim off excess wire.Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects.
