This necklace measures 18 long. To make it longer or shorter, simple adjust the chain length.
- Begin by cutting 2 lengths of 5 long chain with your flush cutters. Set aside.
- Next, you will begin gluing on two silver plated glue-on bails onto the back of each rose cabochon. You will be using these bails to connect the cabochons together to form your necklace.
- Take 2 of your AANRAKU silver plated bails and place a dab of E-6000 glue onto their flat pads.
- Take your first 15mm pink flower cabochon and flip it over. Glue the bails onto the center portion of the cabochon, making sure they are as even as possible. Since this is the smallest cabochon, the bails might overlap just a bit. Set aside to dry.
- Repeat the process of gluing on 2 bails onto each of your pink lucite rose cabochons. Place the bails at a slight angle, so the bottom tips are facing one another. This will help your necklace hang properly. Also, make sure that the loops on the bails aren't covered up because you will be sliding on jump rings through these loops in the next step. Refer to the close-up photo for assistance.
- Keep the rose cabochons with their flat sides facing up while they dry. Set aside.
- Open up a jump ring with your pliers and slide it onto the last link from one side of one length of bright silver plated rolo chain. Also slide on the loop from your silver plated lobster clasp and close.
- Open up a jump ring with your pliers. Slide on the last link from the opposite end of the same length of chain and also slide on the attached bail loop from one side of a 15mm rose cabochon.
- Open up another jump ring and slide it onto the attached loop from the other side of the same 15mm rose cabochon. Before closing, add on the attached bail loop from a 23mm rose cabochon and close.
- Continue the process of opening and attaching jump rings onto the attached bails of your rose cabochons so they are all connected. From one end to the next, you should have the following sizes of rose cabochons: one 15mm, one 23mm, one 23mm, one 34mm, one 23mm, one 23mm, one 15mm.
- Onto the open jump ring connected to the last 15mm cabochon, slide on the last link from one end of your other length of chain and close.
- Open a last jump ring and slide it onto the last link on the opposite side of that same chain.
- Once you're necklace is done and the glue is dry, you can go back and clean up any dry glue marks on the backs of the rose cabochons.
- Enjoy!
