This bracelet measures 3 inches from the hamsa bead to the scarab bead. The sizing of this project varies on your preference. If you'd like it to be loose, or larger, keep in mind to purchase extra chain in case.
- You will begin by cutting the following lengths of chain with your flush cutters. To make these instructions easier to follow, I have assigned each chain length with a letter.
- A = 1.5"
- B = 1"
- C = 1"
- D = 1"
- E = 1"
- F = 1"
- G = 3.5"
- H = 3.5"
- I = 1 3/4"
- J = 1 3/4"
- K = .5"
- L = .5"
- M = 3"
- Set your chain lengths aside for now.
- You will now begin the process of attaching all your chain lengths via jump rings. I will explain my instructions with the chain laying flat on my work space and going from left to right.
- With your chain nose pliers, open a 5mm jump ring and slide on another 5mm jump ring and close. Repeat this process until you have five 5mm jump rings linked to one another. (link)
- Next, open a 3mm jump ring and slide it onto the last 5mm jump ring. Also slide on the last link from one end of a 1.5" chain length (A).
- Open up another 3mm jump ring and slide it onto the last link on the opposite side of that same length of A chain. Before closing, slide on the last link from one side of chain B. Close the jump ring.
- Open up another 3mm jump ring and slide it onto the last link on that same length of B chain. Before closing, slide on the last link from one side of chain C. Close the jump ring.
- Take one gold plated eye-pin and string on the scarab bead. Secure it by creating a simple wire loop. Repeat this with the other two beads, and then set aside.
- Open the simple loop on your scarab bead (how you would a jump ring) and slide on the last link from one side of your chain length D and also the last link from one side of your chain length E. Close the jump ring.
- Open a 5mm jump ring and dlid on the last link from the other side of your chain length E and close.
- Open another 5mm jump ring and slide it onto the last link from the other side of your chain length E and the last link from one side of chain length F and close.
- Open a 5mm jump ring and slide it onto the last link from the other side of chain length F. Before closing, also slide on the loop from your gold plated lobster clasp and close.
- Now you will connect the last link from one end of chain length G (3.5") onto the jump ring connecting chains A and B.
- Connect chain length I (1 3/4") onto the jump ring connecting chains B and C.
- Connect chain length K (.5") onto the simple wire loop on the bottom of the scarab bead.
- Connect chain length J (1 3/4") onto the jump ring connecting lengths D and E.
- Connect chain length H (3.5") onto jump ring connecting E and F.
- Take the ohm bead, open the simple wire loop (how you would a jump ring), and string on the remaining ends of lengths J, K, and I.
- Take length L and connect it to the bottom of the ohm bead.
- Use the simple wire loop at the bottom of the hamsa hand bead and connect the remaining ends of lengths G, L, and H onto it.
- Finally, connect both ends of length M onto the remaining simple wire loop on the hamsa hand bead, completing your bracelet and creating the ring.
- You're all done!
