- The permanent head features a highly-polished convex steel face which is specially designed for flattening, spreading and work hardening. The hammer also comes with a removable nylon flat head, brass flat head, steel dapping head, and a steel pick head. To change each head, simply unscrew and screw on the one you want to use.
