The Beadsmith 100% Silk Beading Thread Size '00' 695 Yards Black - 1 Spool

I've used this type of thread for well over 20 years, since before we had so many choices. I haven't used it for knotting yet. But I have used it for tons of commissioned beadwork projects including loomwork, bead embroidery on leather, beaded earrings and necklaces...you name it. I noticed one reviewer complained about unintentional knots and fraying. I've always used a little wax and have no complaints providing you take care and mind what you're doing. No constant taking the needle off your thread, but if you do, a little more wax on the end and snip a tiny bit then you're good to go. I know we have lots of new choices now, but I still prefer the idea of using silk as opposed to nylon. I suppose it's the purest in me...all natural products when available!
