Hi, this is Kat with beadaholique.com and what that means is that you'll get all of the supply is needed to make your colorway of bracelet and you'll also receive a tool so let's go ahead and start and i want to show you the 4 colorways that we have here for the mosaic double wrapped loom bracelets so the one I'm actually going to be doing here in the video today this is Cancun now we kind of named these some little summer themes but I love this one it's got some beautiful blue teal and orange in here and this has a nice silver to it and it's got a lovely tierracast bamboo button so that's sort of one little style and it uses a leather cord to wrap that around so that is Cancun and then over here we have Riviera with a dragonfly button and this is a little bit of a lighter teal with some purple and white again with some silver beads there as well so this is the Riviera and this one over here we're going to a little gold so we're going Sanibel so this has a little sandy kind of look to it with the brown and the rose beads and also that nice beautiful ivory cream and you can see that we have the gold beads in there as well and I just love the little floral motif button there that we've added and finally we are going on to San Antonio this is sort of a very traditional loom style with the red white and blue and again we went gold and we wanted to use a really cool button there and I think this one has a really fun shape to it too so those are the four varieties now let's talk about what you're going to receive in your kit so let me draw your eye over here and this is going to kind of break it down for you so we're gonna give you some czech fire polish beads here you're also going to receive a tierracast button you're gonna receive your three colors of Mookie 11o delicas and then you're going to get two cards of the Griffin silk now these are going to be size two and this is going to be great for fitting in those really tiny seed beads so you're going to get two cards of that then you're also going to get your 1.5 millimeter leather cord and you're going to get two you and that's gonna come in once tranch and I'll show you how we're gonna work with that and then you're also going to get some e6000 glue and that's just gonna help us secure some of the nuts that we're gonna be making and then of course you're going to get your rapid loom Pro now the pro is a little bit different from the regular loom and the only difference really is that you get an extra track and that's gonna allow us to do that nice double wrap there so that's what you'll receive with your kit now if you shopped with beadaholique.com before you know that for many of our kits that offer tools we also offer refill kits so if you already have the rapid loom loom excuse me if you already have the rapid loom Pro and the e6000 you can pick up a refill kit and it's gonna be a better value for you and what you're gonna get is you're gonna get the leather the silk the beads the button and these beads here as well so you'll kind of get all of these items with a refill kit and you'll also still receive all the written instructions and the patterns of course so if you already have your loom you don't need to purchase another one so that's kind of a great little value there but if you don't go ahead and purchase our full kit and then choose your favorite one to get started with all right so the other thing that you guys are going to receive is you're going to receive a perfectly color-coordinated pattern and they look like this so this is the one that we're going to be doing here today this is the Cancun so I'll show you how to follow this pattern and how we're going to make it work on our loom but you can see that we have one for each of the colorways as well so if you do purchase a refill kit you'll still get this pattern because you'll need it to complete the bracelet alright so first things first let's talk about setting up our loom and then I want to talk to you about a couple of the tools that you're gonna be using and we just have a pair of scissors and a ruler is gonna be really helpful for you and then I just have some toothpicks here that's gonna help us with that glue so you really don't need any specialized tools aside from the loom so let's go ahead and set up our loom so I'm just going to get a couple of these things out of the way so you guys can really see what I'm working with here and we're gonna just sort of these guys up and out of the way there we go alright so you're gonna have these two little feet here and you're gonna have two tracks and then you're gonna have two end pieces so we have a look for the two of them this one here in my right hand this is slider and this is the one that's gonna anchor so what we're gonna do is we're gonna take our loom and we're gonna go to the piece that sort of has that little bubble on the outside and what that is is that's gonna slide into that little end piece there and kind of click down so this is going to be stable for us and it has these little jaws here that are gonna snatch up our button so now we want to go to the other side and we're just going to slide this in so we kind of hear a little again there's a little click that can kind of happen so that was kind of lengthens our whole loom there and then we're gonna add our feet so I'm going back up to the front here and I'm gonna go you can go maybe on like the third notch there but those just kind of sit right in there and I'm gonna do that all the way at the end here and I'm gonna do that same thing and just sit it right in there alright so this is now the end of our loom piece so we're gonna take our little slider and I'm just gonna kind of come to the back and just slide it on so this is gonna be free to move on our loom alright so I'm just gonna kind of move this up so you can sort of see how the whole thing works so you can just see this is the beginning part we have our little feet it is connected and then we have our little slider piece here now this is going to start to catch there and I'm going to show you exactly how that's gonna happen in just a second but let's go ahead and set that down for just a moment and I'm gonna pick up my leather cord and I'm just gonna kind of run it through my hands yours might come a little bit more coiled or a little less a coiled but you just want to make sure that there's no knots in it and it's all nice and it lengthened out so what we're gonna do is we're going to take one end and put it through the shank of our button and we're gonna go ahead and bring the two ends together because we want that button to sit right in the middle so just kind of running it down and making sure our button sits right in the middle so we've divided our leather in half so now that we're here what we're gonna do is we're just going to tie a very simple overhand knot so just sort of around and through and then we want to make sure that as we're securing that knot it gets really nice and up close next to that button just like so there we go and just sort of secure it there and now our button is already too yeah okay so now let's break out our ruler and we're gonna tie another knot but I'm gonna sort of place the knot there at the very beginning and then I'm gonna take my leather cords together and come down to about 14 and a quarter inches so I want to go from naught to naught should be about 14 and a quarter inches so I'm gonna take this part here and again we're just going to tie a knot and I'm just sort of keeping my finger as close to it as I can and just bringing it together and I'm just sort of feeding it through my fingers there all right and before I pull it too tight I'm just gonna test out that distance yeah that was actually pretty good about a 14 and a quarter so what I'm making here is I'm making a bracelet that will give you a six and a half inch bracelet and a seven inch bracelet because you'll see and let me show you on my example here you'll see that I have created two button loops here so I have one here and this is your six-and-a-half and then one here and that is your seven but you'll also see that you have plenty of leather left over in the back here if you want to create more notches you won't be able to have the Griffin silk so you won't be able to do any more beading however I'll show and I'll show you what that looks like at the end so so stay patient with me guys but what you'll be able to do is you'll be able to add extra knots to sort of lengthen it to a seven and a half or an eight inch bracelet however you want to do it alright so now what we want to do is we want to leave enough space to accommodate our button space so our buttons generally and you'll have to just kind of look at this they're going to be about a half an inch so you want to at least a half an inch of a space to get from button to button so again we're just going to take our leather and we're gonna do another little overhand knot and just getting nice and coiled in here so I just want to make sure I feed it through properly alright and kind of pull that down and there we go it looks like a little bit more than half an inch but I don't need to be testing on that one you can test on your button that you have here so you just kind of just feed it through and just make sure that that button is going to sort of get easily through there but is also going to okay to kind of get in and out alright so that's our first nut so again just move down same thing and this should be our last knot to get that seven inch bracelet and again when I say seven inch bracelet I mean that it will be double wrapped at seven inches all right and let's make sure that I leave enough space there as well and the leather is really forgiving so feel free to just kind of test it out and just see and if you need to undo it you'll be fine all right so let's secure a little snots there we go all right so now we are ready to officially start and set up our loom so I'm gonna kind of start up here at the front so what you're gonna do is you're going to take the little sort of duckbill here and you're just going to open it it's like a little mouth and you're gonna set your button inside there and it's just gonna kind of catch it for you right you can see that it's caught and then we're going to move all the way down to the end here and what's gonna happen is you're gonna have a little notch and let me kind of show you guys sort of side view you're gonna have a little notch there and what you want to do is you want to put the first nut and the second knot around that little notch you see how that works okay and now you can see that this has slacked so I need to pull it so that it gets some taut this with the leather so what we're gonna do is we're just gonna click and you'll start to hear it click there we go so now it's kind of like a like a tight rope right so now we have our loom set up and ready to go so let me kind of pull it back down here to the beginning side and you'll see that this is where we're gonna do our beading right in the middle there so that is all set to go alright so the next step is we're gonna take our silk off of both of our cards now these have little needles there that you're gonna need and that's gonna help us pick up those beads so just go ahead and take it off the card and we're just gonna kind of run it through our fingers and it might help Sennett sort of strengthen it out or excuse me lengthen it out a little bit you'll see that there's a lot of kings here but don't worry we're gonna be wrapping it so you don't have to worry about that at all all right so that's one card and I'm just gonna do the same with the second one okay so now I have the two ends of the Griffin silk without the needles so we're gonna actually create a little knot here so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna come over and I'm just gonna place one on top of the other and I'm just going to go around with one of them just like so and now I'm going to tie an overhand knot here and just bringing one end through the other so we're kind of getting a little lasso sort of surgeon's knot type thing happening right there at the top and you can see that I'm trying to do it as close to the edge here because we want to have as much Griffin silk to work with and then what I'm going to do is I'm just going to secure that by doing another little sort of overhand knot so we just want to make sure that pull tight and then it's nice and secure and pull tight on our ends and we just want to make sure that it's not going to slip through all right so now we are ready to officially begin looming so we're going to take that little knot and I'm gonna take one end of the cord and sort of put it on to the right side and the other cord is on the left so we're coming across the top of the loom just like so now I want to Center that little knot right there and I want to kind of hold it and what I'm gonna do is just sort of separate the two leather pieces so I have my knot on top they're separated the two leather pieces and I'm gonna put my thumb on there because I want to hold it still now I'm gonna take the one that's in my right hand and I'm gonna go around that first leather cord and pull that all the way out to the side okay so we have one little wrap there and then I'm going to do the exact opposite with the leather so or excuse me with the left one taking it around and going all the way out to the side so what we're doing is we're kind of doing our first little wrap there so you can sort of see that we're coming around and the cords are now coming out to the side so now what we want to do is we want to carefully make sure that that knot stays in the center and just sort of push it up as close as we can to the other or not we're gonna kind of hide it in there you know we want to make it look all nice and sleek so there we go so we have that right up near the top okay so now we're ready to do one more wrap so again same thing right and out and you don't have to do this extra if you don't want to I just like to do it because it's a little more secure and that's what I'm always looking for in my bead weaving you know you're putting in all this work so you want to really make it as secure as possible all right so again just kind of making sure that everybody is up there nice and tight at the top all right I knocked it off with my arm there we go okay now let's go ahead and begin some beading so I'm gonna take the right cord with the needle and what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna pick up one of the white seed beads and I'm gonna kind of hold that there and I'm gonna pull this cord all the way through and you can see that I'm bringing it towards the left side all right and now what I want to do is I want to take the left hand cord and what I'm gonna do is I'm going to take that little needle and you can move these around these are just little twisted wire needles so they'll probably get kinked as you work but what I want to do is I want a crisscross and I know this is hard to see when I only have one here but I'm gonna crisscross and I'm gonna pull that left hand out to the right so we're just Criss crossing at those two pieces of Griffin silk and what's gonna happen is it's gonna come and it's gonna sit right in between the leather and it's gonna start to create a little space you can already see that my leather has opened up a little bit and again just making sure especially at the beginning here that he's nice and close to that top part all right so now my cords are switched but it's still the same motion you're gonna take the one that's on the right side and go down and around and through pull that out and then take the one on the left side down and around and through okay so now we're ready to add and then we're gonna try to build up our leather so it's a little bit wider so what I'm gonna do now is I'm just gonna take two white beads and I'm right-handed so I always go right first it's entirely up to you it won't mess you up if you go right or left or if you switch it up but just make sure that you have your two beads on there and I like to just kind of hold them and pull that right cord to the left and then take the left needle put it through making sure you're getting through both of those beads we want to make sure we get both of them onto the needle there there we go and again I'm just gonna kind of hold them with my fingers and just pull that right that excuse me that left cord to the right making that crisscross motion and you can see that they're gonna come down here and this is where we want to kind of I'm just tugging at the little sides there because I want to make sure that he can get right up close there we go right up to the top all right so I'm going to do these ones kind of together and you'll get the rhythm so I'm just gonna pull these out to the side you can do them together you'll get really nice and fast and fun with this and then you guessed it we're gonna do three this time because we want to build up just a little bit more so one two and three onto our right hand cord crisscross that to the side bringing the other one in and I like to just kind of slide it over the needle like that then again just sort of Criss crossing it pulling it down and coming back up here to the front there I'm just kind of readjusting because this is where you're kind of really getting everything set up okay so you can already see that our leather is getting a little bit wider so one last thing that's going to help with that is we're gonna add one of those fire polish beads so again just going down and around and through with both of our cords and now we're going to come in with one fire polished bead and it's going to be the same thing going from the right to the left pulling that all the way through going from the left to the right pulling that all the way through so this is kind of the whole motion that we're going to go through and let me talk you guys through the pattern that we're gonna start to build here all right pull that down and before you add other beads make sure that you go down and around and through there we go alright so let's start talking about our pattern let me bring over the Cancun the one that we're gonna do here today so let's just take a look at this so you can see now we've built up to three and we've added a check fire polished bead and that's going to help keep it as wide as we were going to go so what we're gonna do is we're gonna do loomed patterns and they're gonna be five across each time and you can see on your pattern we've labeled them a B C and so forth so you're gonna start with a and then we're gonna add some fire polish beads in between these just to break it up a little bit but let's go ahead and we're gonna follow and we're gonna start with pattern a so we're gonna pick up that very first row so it's going to be one orange three white and one orange and then we're just gonna continue and I'm gonna show you how to do this entire pattern and then I'm gonna kind of let you follow on your own alright so let's keep that up there for me to look at and I love that these are nice and color coded it just makes it a little bit easier so I'm coming over to my beads and picking up one orange three white and one orange okay so now again I just like to hold mine there and just kind of pull that through and you can see that I just sort of pinched it in my fingers just to kind of keep it there and then I come in with the needle and what I like to do is just kind of again just sort of slide them over the needle making sure that everybody's caught there on both sides and then just pull that through and let's go back up to the front here and again you just can kind of give a little tug to the ones that are already there and just make sure that he sits right up top there you see how now we've built up to that and there's there should be plenty of room for those five beads across alright so same thing here let's go down and around and through and you can do this one at a time I'm just I just like to do it two at a time because I like to get my my patterns done it actually works up really quickly so don't fear alright so we're going blue orange white orange in blue and that's our next row same thing and if your Griffin silk should get tangled just take a minute and just kind of even it out you should be good to go it shouldn't really tangle too much on you but one thing I do want to say and you'll start to see it develop here it's one thing I'm going to talk about is making sure that both cords stay on the same side when you're doing that down and around and through you don't want to criss cross them over because you'll end up with an issue there and we don't want that we don't want that to happen we want this to be fun and easy alright so again let's go back over to our seed beads here which I've definitely knocked around so we're gonna do two of the blue and I'm just following my pattern I'm gonna do one of the orange and then two of the blue so this is going to be our little center row so we're making a little X now you can create your own patterns if you like you'll get the coordinated seed beads so but we've definitely given you plenty of seed beads to make the pattern that we've provided so if you do change it up just know that you know we don't want you to run out of beads or anything like that so but we do want you guys to feel like you can have fun and really make this your own the kits are wonderful for that alright and let me just push them and now all I'm doing is I'm just kind of pushing it up just sort of adjusting it because I want it to look really nice and sleek so we're just adjusting all right so two more rows so I'm gonna do this a little faster I know you guys want to see what the results gonna be here soon so let's see blue orange white orange and blue and we do have other rapid kits that include you know we have some with gemstones we also have some with two whole beads some honeycomb beads those are really fun to work with so if you do purchase this one to start and you want to go to those ones again like I said those all have refill kits as well so you'll just be getting the beads and the leather cord and all the things that you need to actually make it but you don't need to purchase another loom unless of course you want to but that's sort of a fun little thing that I love that we can offer I'm gonna do one orange three white and one orange okay so this is my last little row for this section and I'm just working from the top down on at my pattern so you can just follow along there sliding that through making sure I get all on that needle alright okay so I'm going to kind of bring this a little bit closer to me so that I can really show you guys what's happening all right so now this is your time to adjust it as you're sort of doing it if you need to pull anything a little bit tighter or just you know adjust some of the beads or anything like that okay so now what we're doing here is I want to show you that we're gonna add another fire polished bead and at this time I'm only going to add one there are a couple points where we're going to add multiples so just pay attention to that and I'm going to go over that whole pattern here in just a second alright and go all the way through and we're just gonna go down and around and through okay so now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna set aside my loom so I can talk to you guys about the pattern here that we're gonna do so let me kind of let you guys take a look at this so again it's labeled ABCDE and F G and H all the way through so let's go ahead and take a look at the finished piece so you guys can kind of follow along here so this is where we've started here we have our button we did our one two and three we started with the fire polish and then that's that first pattern that's the a that's the one that we just did so after that we added one fire polish now after B what you're going to do is you're going to add three fire polish you can see just the difference in the silk there and actually let me show it to you on actually in my hand might be best you can see how tight all of that is on the sides and then it gets a little bit wider on the fire polish so don't don't worry about that it's just because the beads are a little bit bigger but you'll have that nice tight little wrap for all the seed beads and then it'll get a little bit wider okay so after B you're gonna add three after C you're gonna add one after D you're gonna add one and after E you're gonna add three after F you're going to add one after G you're going to add 5 and after H you're going to add one and I'll show you how to taper that down and finish it off here at the very end so that's the whole pattern and again you just follow along you work from the top down for each of the patterns you're more than welcome to kind of switch it up if you do want a shorter bracelet if six and a half is too big for you what you can always do is you can either eliminate one of the smaller pieces here or this is a great spot to eliminate some inches is down here when we're adding five maybe you just want to add one so just you can also do that as well you'd also don't have to add three but I do recommend adding at least one in between each pattern it just kind of helps to break it up a little bit but that's an that's an if you want a shorter bracelet so but again this is gonna give you that six and a half inch double wrap okay so I'm gonna let you guys do your weaving and let me I'm gonna be right back to show you how to finish it off and we're going to show you how to glue everything and secure everything so your bracelet has a nice long life alright I will be back to show you how to finish in just a moment so we've added our last fire polished bead right here down at the end we've done the whole thing so now what we're gonna do is we're gonna kind of use this little triangle right here to taper it off but before I do that I just want to show you guys that I have about five inches of thread on either side and that's about all you're gonna do so that's why I I caution you about trying to lengthen some of the patterns because you'll get to this point and you really won't have a lot to work with so that's why we tell you to use the leather knots to kind of extend at the size okay so here we are so I've gone down and around and through so all we're gonna do really is just do that same thing that we did on the beginning side so we're gonna start with three of the white seed beads and you can actually choose any color you want for this if you want it to be more blue on one side or the end or create a little fun pattern with these little six beads here feel free to do so I just like the white I think it's just nice and clean it's mostly hidden by that button anyway alright and we are getting really tight here so you just want to make sure that we're getting everything through there we go pulling that down and then it's hard to sort of reach through there so I recommend just kind of sticking your needle up and through and just doing one at a time to get to two here okay so we've added three now we're going to add two and stringing that down there we go all right and one more so we're gonna kind of taper it you can see that it's starting to come together there and this is a little hard to see sometimes so just make sure that you're not Criss crossing underneath that's why when it gets to be this tight you just want to go one at a time all right and I just need to pick up one seed bead there we go pulling it down okay I'm just making sure nothing flips over itself and you can see that as I kind of pull it tight it sort of starts to come in there so we have a little gap left so what we're gonna do is we're going to go down and around and through and we want to try to get our cord towards the knot this is just kind of a little tip I know this you probably you know know what to do at this point but these are just some extra little tips to help it look really sleek and nice so again making sure it's not over anything so now what we're gonna do is we're gonna take our little ends and we're gonna tie a little tiny overhand knot there just one okay and now in that very teeny tiny itty bitty small space we're gonna try to get our needle through there and we're gonna do one more wrap around this is just to secure it because you don't want to lose all that beautiful bead work that you just did so down and around them through and see if I can get my needle down through there this is a really tight space there we go up through okay so now what we're gonna do is we're gonna tie a quick overhand knot pull that down and now we're gonna tie another one alright so the next step that we're gonna do is we're gonna leave that as is and I'm just going to sort of kick this back and let it kind of slack down so let's go back to the front side here so we have two knots that we need to cover so really quick we're just gonna take some of our east 6000 I just like to use a little pad of paper and some toothpicks just makes it a little bit easier to utilize so if your e6000 is fresh if you've bought a new one or if you needed to purchase excuse me if it's fresh you just go ahead and poke it with that end there but if it's a refill kit you'll probably already have your e6000 so you can just go ahead and put a little bit onto your paper there and then I'm just gonna take the end of a toothpick getting very a little bit of glue bringing it up here and just kind of making sure that we really saturate that little knot up here getting it on all the little fibers there because we don't again we don't want to lose all of our beadwork that we've worked so hard for and I'm gonna come down here and just take a little more and repeat on this side now you notice that I haven't trimmed the cords yet what I recommend you doing is letting this dry for at least 24 hours so that it really gets that maximum bond before you cut your little threads there but for the purposes of my video I'm not gonna wait 24 hours I'm gonna cheat and I'm gonna do it right now and it's very simple so I'm just gonna remove this from the little teeth there come in and just take my scissors you can also use snips for this and just try to get as close as you want to close as you can and just come in and just snip that off and of course I'm just releasing from the front there and going to repeat on this side just trimming those off all right and let me get this out of the way here last but not least you'll see that you have some extra leather cord here so you can make those extra knots if you like but if you're happy with where your knots are you can just come in and I recommend leaving about an inch or so and trimming that off now you don't need to there we go get some thick scissors to get this leather now you don't need to add glue to the leather knots you can just be aware that it might change the color of the leather so you might want to really just make sure that you add a little tiny day all the way in there but like I said just let it dry for about 24 hours before wearing it and let me bring in my other colorways here that I have for you again we have the Riviera which is this teal in purple we have the Santa Belle which is this brown and Rose we have the San Antonio which is our red white and blue and then I just made the Cancun version which is that beautiful teal and orange so choose your favorite and choose a refill these are so wonderful and we have
