Add some drama to your jewelry collection by making these edgy, long drop earrings featuring chain, Fuchsia findings and Austrian crystal beads in Jet Black and Rose.
Instructions

Note: Components and tools listed within this INSTRUCTIONS box and the printer-friendly PDF, if available, may have been discontinued since this project was published. Refer to the PURCHASE COMPONENTS and TOOLS AND OTHER SUPPLIES sections for current availability.

By following the instructions below you will make one earring. Repeat all instructions to make the second earring.
  1. Using your flush cutters, cut the following lengths of Gunmetal Steel Round Rolo Chain: 4 1/4", 3", 2 3/4".
  2. Next, cut the following lengths of Antiqued Silver Plated Cable Chain: 4 3/4", 3 3/4", 4 1/4".
  3. Using your chain nose pliers, open up a Fuchsia jump ring and slide on a jet black Austrian crystal rain drop pendant. Also slide on the last link from your 3" gunmetal chain length. Close the jump ring.
  4. Open up another Fuchsia jump ring and slide on the last link from another chain length. Also slide on an Austrian crystal Rose pendant bead.
  5. Repeat this step with the rest of your chain lengths and Austrian crystal pendant beads in Rose.
  6. Open up a jump ring with your chain nose pliers and add on the last links from each of your chain lengths.
  7. I added my chains in this order: 3" gunmetal, 2 3/4" gunmetal, 3 3/4" antiqued silver, 4 1/4" antiqued silver, 4 1/4" gunmetal, 4 3/4" antiqued silver. You can also add more or less chain, if you'd like.
  8. Open up the loop on your earring hook (how you would a jump ring) and slide on the jump ring that has your chain lengths attached to it. Close the jump ring back up.
  9. That's it!

  • FJR-9060 - Fuchsia Pink Color Brass - 5mm 21 Gauge Open Jump Rings (25)
    Project uses 10 pieces. You will need 1 package.

  • FEA-9964 - Fuchsia Pink Color Brass 15mm Fish Hook Earring Hooks (5 Pairs)
    Project uses 2 pieces. You will need 1 package.

  • SWBB-2207 - Austrian Crystal, 6022 Xirius Raindrop Pendants 14mm, 2 Pieces, Jet
    Project uses 2 pieces. You will need 1 package.
