Marie Antoinette's Necklace

1. Begin by creating the "blood drips". For the first drip, thread an Austrian crystal drop bead onto a headpin and create a wrapped wire loop. Trim off excess wire. Onto an eyepin, thread a 6mm Austrian crystal round bead. Create a wrapped wire loop and trim off excess wire. Open the loop on the eyepin drop the same way you would open a jump ring. Thread the loop through the wrapped loop at the top of the drop bead, then close it once more.
2. For the second blood drip, simply thread an Austrian crystal drop bead onto a headpin and create a wrapped wire loop. Trim off excess wire.
3. For the third blood drip, thread an Austrian crystal drop bead onto a headpin and create a simple wire loop. Trim off excess wire. Thread a 4mm Austrian crystal round bead onto an eyepin and create a simple loop. Trim off excess wire. Thread a 3mm Austrian crystal round bead onto another eyepin and create a wrapped loop. Trim off excess wire. Open the loop on the 3mm bead and thread it through the loop at one end of the 4mm bead before closing it again. Open the loop at the top of the drop bead and thread it through the loop on the other end of the 4mm bead before closing it again.
4. For the fourth blood drip, thread an Austrian crystal drop bead onto a headpin and create a simple wire loop. Trim off excess wire. Thread a 4mm Austrian crystal round bead onto an eyepin and create a simple loop. Trim off excess wire. Thread an Austrian crystal drop bead onto an eyepin and create a wrapped wire loop. Trim off excess wire. Open the loops at both ends of the 4mm bead. Thread one through the simple loop at the bottom of one drop bead, thread the other through the loop at the top of the drop bead on the headpin. Close both loops again.
5. For the fifth blood drip, simply thread an Austrian crystal drop bead onto a headpin and create a wrapped wire loop. Trim off excess wire.
6. Create one more drop by threading a 6mm bead onto a headpin, creating a wrapped loop, and trimming off excess wire. This is the drop that will go on the end of your extender chain.
7. Cut a piece of beading wire that is about a foot and a half in length. Secure one end with a Bead Stopper.
8. Onto the beading wire, thread the following:

89. Onto the end of the strand thread a crimp tube, but do not crimp it yet. Thread the wire through a closed jump ring and back through the crimp tube and several consecutive beads. Pull the wire snug, and crimp the tube. Trim off excess wire.
90. Remove the Bead Stopper from the opposite end of the necklace and repeat the previous step.
91. Use a 6mm open jump ring to attach the lobster clasp to one end of the necklace.
92. Use another 6mm open jump ring to attach the extender chain to the other end of the necklace.
93. Remove the round gold drop from the end of the extender chain and replace it with the 6mm Austrian crystal round headpin drop.
