These instructions will give you a bracelet that is approximately 8 inches. To adjust the length, adjust each side of the faux leather cord equal on both sides. You will also need a paint brush, a popsicle stick and paper towel for this project.
- Take your flush cutters and cut off the loop of the teensie lizard charm.
- Using the Vintaj relief block, buff the top of the lizard so that it becomes brighter. Also buff the edges of the charm for a bright gold look.
- Now taking your paint brush and the jade patina, brush on a very small amount of patina and quickly wipe it off of the lizard charm. You want to achieve the look of an aged coin. For instruction on using Vintaj Patinas please watch our video here.
- Place a very small dab of E6000 to the back of the lizard pendant and place it in the center of the square bezel embellishment. You only want to use enough glue to center it, but do not let it spill out the sides. Set this aside.
- This next step involves using the resin. Please watch our video: How to Use Ice Resin.
- Carefully mix the resin as shown in the video and place your bezel on a flat surface. Use your popsicle stick to place the resin into the bezel. Add enough resin to reach the top of the bezel. Be careful not to spill it over the edge. If you have air bubbles, use the micro flame torch gently over the top of the resin. Set this aside. Resin takes about 6 hours to harden and about 3 days to cure.
- After the resin has cured, we can continue with the rest of the bracelet.
- Cut off 4 1/2 inches of faux flat leather cord.
- Fold over 1/2 inch of one side of the cord. Use the 2mm hole punch on the rotating leather hold punch tool. Center the punch at the mid point of this fold, about 1/4 inch in. Punch a hole through the folded leather.
- Now take that piece and thread it around the bezel embellishment. Line up the holes. Place one rivet base up through the holes and place the round cap on top of the rivet. Follow the instructions in this video to complete this rivet.
- To the other side of this piece of faux leather, repeat the above process. Only this time, thread the leather through the closed end of the floral Z hook.
- Cut off 4 3/4 inches of faux flat leather cord.
- Fold over 1/2 inch of one side of the cord. Use the 2mm hole punch on the rotating leather hold punch tool. Center the punch at the mid point of this fold, about 1/4 inch in. Punch a hole through the folded leather.
- Now take that piece and thread it around the other side of the bezel embellishment. Line up the holes. Place one rivet base up through the holes and place the round cap on top of the rivet. Secure the rivet as before.
- Move to the end of this piece of faux leather. Fold over 1 1/2 inch so that you have a loop that is 3/4 inch. Use the 2mm hole punch on the rotating leather hold punch tool. Center the punch at the back 1/4 inch mark. Make sure that the end of the clasp will be able to fit into this loop. Punch the hole.
- Line up the holes. Place one rivet base up through the holes and place the round cap on top of the rivet. Secure the rivet as before.
- Hook the loop onto the clasp and you are all done.
