Retired - Christmas Candy Stripe Bracelet

1. Cut a length of thread that you feel comfortable working with, and thread your needle. If you like working with a stopper bead on the end of your thread, add the stopper bead now.
2. Begin by watching our video on How to do 2-Drop Flat Even Count Peyote Bead Weaving. Please refer to the pattern for the bead order and how to create the striped design.
3. During your bead weaving, you will need to tie off and add new thread.
4. Once you have a 6 inch long bead weaving, it is time to start your bead woven toggle clasp. Continue the pattern shown but only stitch 8 beads across for 4 rows, do this on the left and right sides of the bracelet and then connect the two sides by stitching the complete pattern for the last 6 rows of your work, this will create the hole for your toggle clasp.
5. Create a separate small piece of bead weaving that is 24 beads wide and 8 beads long (as demonstrated in the bead weaving toggle clasp video you just watched). After all 8 rows are stitched, bring back the first row creating a thin tube to be attached to your bracelet.
6. On the other side of your bracelet, you will cut a new length of thread (a couple feet is long enough) and continue the pattern on only the inside 4 beads of the bracelet. Do this for 5 rows of 4 beads each. Now stitch the tube toggle you just created to these 4 beads.
7. Tie off and weave in all of your thread tails.
