Czech or Japanese glass beads in size 6 or 8 are my go-to beads on all of my jewelry, paired with recycled materials like aluminum cans and plastic bottles. They give sparkle and accents to earrings, bracelets and so much more. I love the various color combinations and contrasts.

The most interesting are the irregular patterned glass beads about 8-10mm.
They go well in bracelets and form interesting patterns when mixed with metal beads.
I like the difference in the type of material when in combination with other natural
stones and materials.

I like the 10-12mm gemstones and nuggets.

I love bead weaving with multi-hole beads, especially ginko and chevron.

I really enjoy designing with the vast array of two hole beads and their compatible Cymbal elements- so many finishes and components!

picasso beads because the colors are so unique you can just go with them

I like working off a rivoli or chaton/montee. Or course they’re not neccessarily beads but I love the embellishing of them with round seed beads.

My favorite beads to work with are glass/crystal beads!

I have to have faceted AB beads, translucent, mostly glass and crystal, both clear and with colors, to make snowflake ornaments. I use Beadsmith wire snowflake forms, all three sizes, and while it’s a simple project, if you’re going for a particular unique look, constructing one can take hours. Though anyone can throw some pretty beads on the forms and make a nice snowflake! I’ve just been at it a long time and have particular shape ideas that require a mix of 4-5 types of beads and findings.

I love working with Delica beads and watching them come together to make a beautiful creation, like a picture of perfection. I also like to macramé with rocaille beads to make adjustable bracelets. I call what I do “cindy’s sanity”. busy hands are happy hands.
