Let's start the new year off with something fun! We are giving away a 1/2 pound of beads in the Mr. Kitty Big Bead Bonanza Beads Mix to one lucky winner. This bead mix is one of Beadaholique's oldest and most popular items. We brought it back completely refreshed and renewed with awesome new beads at the end of 2023. You never know what you will get in the bead mix but you can rest assured that it will be a ton of cool beads in a variety of shapes and sizes along with a few other surprises thrown in. Please note that your actual mix will vary from the photo - each mix is special and different!

As others have stated, all beads are my favorite. I love looking at them and sorting them, and organizing them. But I do love Delicas for peyote “tapestries” and seed beads for loom work. Just learning bead stringing and used to think it would be simple, but I have a really hard time making anything original. I really benefit from the “professionals” who make tutorials and provide kits to make beautiful pieces.

I used to work a lot with gemstone beads/crystals for my crocheted wire necklaces but lately have been working with seed beads/delicas/super duos and find that challenging. Looking forward to continuing to try new things this year.

Lately I’ve found Delica beads to be my favorite but found some ‘2 cut’ glass beads at a powwow that I can’t wait to try. They look like they’re going to be my new favorite.

My favorite beads have to be Tiger eyes! All the warm browns and golds running through them. My second would have to be any size, shape or finish of blue bead. 2-hole beads are also creeping up the list fast! lol
