Lovely Leaves!

Leaves are a great design element, especially in the fall. They can be the focal of a design or an accent, either way, they add interest and texture to your creations.  Leaves can also add a pop of color, and if hung from a chain or jump ring, they can even add movement to your jewelry. 

When designing with leafy components, you have many choices. You can go for small leaf charms that are a metallic color such as silver or gold (or even mix your metals so that you have silver, gold, copper, and antiqued brass all together which looks like a wonderful leaf pile) or go for a bold bright color with a large-scale leaf pendant such as those by Gardanne Beads. Any way you choose to use a leaf in a design, it will help to bring the theme together and set the tone for the piece.
