Bring on Fall! Favorite DIY Jewelry Elements for the Season Ahead!

It's September - hooray!!! I don't know about everyone else, but I am sure ready for some cooler weather, pumpkin flavored goodies, harvest color palettes, and that cozy feeling that comes with being tucked in snug on a crisp night. Designing jewelry for this season is a joy - we get to use a warm color palette of browns, oranges, reds, and yellows while incorporating fun elements like leaves, pumpkins, acorns, and more. Below are some of my favorite fall jewelry making components!

Czech Glass DiamonDuo, 2-Hole Diamond Shaped Beads 5x8mm, Moss Green (10 Gram Pack)

These are all beautiful—-I especially love the oak and maple leaf charms. I’m blessed to be an Autumn, and I wear those colors and icons year around. I departed long ago from the idea of only wearing seasonal colors in their designated seasons. Nobody tells me I can’t wear fall in the spring or summer in winter or visa versa. Yes, there are certain times when bright yellow on a crisp spring day seems to bring out the jonquils and daffodils, but that doesn’t mean they won’t cheer me up just as much on a cold winter day. I make all my own knitwear as well as all my jewelry, so I indulge my passion for “doing my own thing”! Julie and friends have been a huge contributing factor in my design work and I do thank them.
