I am new to making jewelry and make items only for myself—-thank God for tutorials. I have only dealt with chain for a couple of charm bracelets. I am amazed at all the necklaces that use chain along with beads. I have made lots of necklaces but only with beads. I could have stretched out my bead stash, if I had come across the concept of using beads in conjunction with chain. Since I am in the experimental mode, I am open to all styles of chain.

Using different types of chain, especially the blingy ones add another dimension to my jewelry projects. I also like plain chain for doing crystal drops for necklaces and earrings.

What I use the most is basic, smooth cable chain. But…I LOVE paperclip chain, beaded chains, all kinds of chain. It’s a lot of fun to get creative with mixing and matching them in a piece! I use a lot of it in making divination tools, as well as jewelry. Thanks for the opportunity, and happy holidays!

I use all kinds of chain. I like using aluminum chain for some of my larger necklaces to make them more lightweight.

My favorite type of chain is the bobbles and the coin chain. These are sooooo much fun with everything. I also love any open style that I can bead in. I love chain for everything.
