I Love the 80's Earrings

1. Before beginning this project, please watch our video: How To Do Brick Stitch Bead Weaving. Also watch: How to Make Increases and Decreases in Brick Stitch and Tips for Advanced Brick Stitch Patterns.
2. From what you learned in the videos and following along with the PDF pattern, begin your first row of ladder stitch at the left most tip of the yellow. This will fill out the widest part of the earring to help give you structure as you build the earring. I recommend, starting with about 6 feet of thread and leaving a long tail so that once you work down one side, you can use this tail to work on the other side.
3. If you need to add more thread as you work you can see how to do that in our video here: How to Tie Off and Add New Thread in Bead Weaving.
4. Please note that when you come to the top and bottom of the earring the final bead will lay sideways. With your needle coming out of one of the top two beads of the last row, pick up one bead and sew down through the second adjacent bead in that last row.
5. Once you have finished your weaving, tie off and weave in all tails.
6. Then, please watch our video: How to Use Jump Rings to Connect Bead Weaving Components. From what you learned in this video, open one jump ring and attach it to the top sideways yellow bead and to one earring hook. Close the jump ring. For this design, I recommend you mirror your earrings, as seen in the photo, so when you add your earring hooks, be sure they are facing the right way to achieve this look.
