In this video, see how to use TierraCast bails which have been specifically made for Austrian crystal briolettes. You can also use these same bails with other briolettes as long as the hole is at the same placement and orientation as the Austrian crystal briolettes.

The brand name for the crystals shown in this video is no longer available. High quality Austrian crystals are now available under the PRESTIGE™ Crystal Components line.

Hi, this is Julie with Beadaholique.com and today I want to show you how to use a TierraCast bail which is specifically made for Swarovski Elements briolettes. I have a couple of examples I've used here. I'm using a smaller bail made for actually 11 millimeter briolettes by Swarovski Elements and I wanted to show you this example because I used actually a cut faceted glass briolette instead of a Swarovski and it does work. I want to show you what to look for if you're trying to use something that's Swarovski so this particular smaller TierraCast bail is made for the 11 millimeter Swarovski briolette which I have right here and as you can see the glass briolette that I used is actually quite a bit smaller. It's eight millimeter and even though it's considerably smaller the tip and where the drill hole is is identical to the Swarovski one. So if you are gonna try to use these with something other than Swarovski that's what you're gonna wanna keep in mind is the top tip part how much room you have between the drill hole and the tip of the briolette and then also where the drill hole is placed. I did want to show you that so that you could use other items like you see here in these example pieces but these were made with Swarovski Elements in mind because they are so precise and uniform so know they are going to fit every time. So what you're going to do, as you can see, there's two little prods, you put one into the side hole of the briolette and then you're just gonna maneuver it. You can see I didn't apply much pressure. I just moved it over to the side so that it actually grabbed the briolette and it's now secure in there now if you want you can also tighten it just a little bit you can do that by taking a chain nose plier and gently just pinching it a little bit on the side. These are silver plated pewter so they are very strong but you can pinch them just a little bit so they're more secure and that's how to Use TierraCast Bails made for SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Briolettes.
