Hi. I'm Andrea and I'm the senior designer at Beadaholique.com. In this video, I'm going to talk about crimp tubes and crimp beads and I'm going to show you how to use them. This is a crimp tube and this is a crimp bead. Crimp beads and crimp tubes come in a variety of finishes and sizes. The crimping pliers come in corresponding sizes. As you can see the crimping pliers have two indentations. The inner indentation has one rounded half and one v-shaped half. You insert the crimp bead or crimp tube in that indentation first and it crimps the bead in half. The other indentation is rounded on both sides. That's to fold crimp tube or crimp bead over and to give it a nice rounded off finished look. You're going to side your crimp tube on to your strand like this and then you're going to insert your strand through either a closed jump ring or in this case I'm going to attach it right to the clasp. Thread it back through the crimp tube and if you can, if there's room back through a couple of the beads on the strand. Pull tight, but not too tight. Just nice and snug with a little bit of wiggle room. You're going to hold it while you insert the crimp tube or crimp bead in the inner indentation and crimp down. Then you're going to insert the crimp bead into the outer indentation which folds it in half and rounds it off. Trim off you're access wire and you're done.
